Though it is expensive, you will be glad knowing you got your money's worth. Nothing beats the comfort it gives to your body when you have to work all day sitting on it. Bake in the day when chairs were first introduced to people, they were crudely made, four legs and a back if you were lucky. Usually they were made of old wood and done so by farmers and ranchers. Then came the towns and people needed something to sit on. Through the years furniture manufactures were realizing people wanted more comfort in the chairs they had so they started making chairs with arms and adding different materials for the upholstery, such as fine leather. During the eighteenth century is when the leather high back chairs and arm chairs started to become popular. Only the rich could afford this type but it soon caught on and more and more people of all walks of life wanted them. Dining room chairs with a cushioned back and seat, wrapped in leather was ideal and was a status symbol among the rich. Today you can find them in almost any home, in a variety of shapes and colored leather.
